Oman Workshop from November 23 to 29, 2025
From November 23 to 29, 2025, a workshop focused on intercultural exchange took place in Oman as part of our projekt. The event was hosted by the Scientific College of Design (SCD) in Muscat. Eight students from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and six students from Notre Dame University-Louaize (Lebanon) participated, accompanied by faculty and researchers from the partner institutions, who also held working meetings to further develop joint teaching formats.
INCLUSIVE CITIES: Contextual Dialogues on Community-based Participation for Sustainable Urban Future
This project promotes academic collaboration that explores the connection between citizen-centered participation in urban planning and the overarching ideals of democracy and (social) sustainability. The main objective is to encourage, strengthen, and sustain the dialogue between German universities and their partners in the MENA region, to promote intercultural and contextual understanding, and at the same time to improve the quality of teaching and research.
